Who is the funniest comedian?

Last week I made a post about Jim Carrey's movie Yes Man! Later I talked to my dad and my sister about the article, and they said that they were not interested in seeing Jim Carrey because he is old and crazy. My sister and Dad stated that Vince Vaughn is funnier. I thought that they were both crazy for calling Jim Carrey crazy and also saying that Vince Vaughn is funnier. Jim Carrey has a history of funny movies under his belt. Granted he did make the movie Number 23 which was bad but other than that he has made hits like the Cable Guy, Liar Liar, and Me Myself and Irene. Vince Vaughn has only really made Old School. I'm not saying that Vince Vaughn isn't funny, he has his moments, but he is no Jim Carrey. They also mentioned Adam Sandler and Mike Myers were funnier as well. Yes those two are funny but they haven't made a really funny movie in a long time. Adam Sandler has been cold since Click and that wasn't even that funny as BIG Daddy! Mike Myers hasn't really made any funny movies since the Austin Powers series and Shrek (not all three just the first one). So since we couldn't agree on who was the funniest comedian I decided to put a poll on the internet to let the world help us decide who is the funniest comedian.

Yes MAN!

On Saturday Angelica and I were fortunate enough to go out on a date and watch a movie for the first time in a long time. So luckily there was a good enough movie to watch that night. We went to go watch Yes Man and I am so glad we watched it. It was HILARIOUS. The old Jim Carrey came back in this movie, it was awesome. There were so many funny parts that I cant even remember some of them. I dont know if you know what I mean, but you know those movies that have that one funny part that you can remember, but this one had so many that I cant even remember them all. I am not saying that every scene and every minute of the movie was funny. I am just stating that this is one of the funniest movies I have seen in a while. I give the movie 7 out of 10 stars. This is a must watch! 

Our trip to the Christmas Market!

As most people may know My family and I have lived in Germany for 3 years. And over those three years we have not attended a German Christmas Market. For those of you who don't know what a German Christmas Market is, a German Christmas Market is place where people can come to buy German handmade crafts, drink hot wine (Gluhwein), and eat delicious German food. It was a great experience. Now if you were to ask me to go again I would say NO. But it was fun since we got to go Ice Skating outside, which was a great experience for me and my family. Jaythan had never been Ice Skating before and he didn't do to bad even though he keep falling he kept wanting to get back up for more. It was fun. Angelica feel down once, but since I am so graceful I didn't fall at all. We also had one of Angelica's friends join us to the Christmas Market, but she doesn't like blogs so I wont post a picture of her or mention her name to keep her "privacy" in tact. Overall great trip, but wouldn't do it again, its just not for me, but I am glad that I tried it out. 

Funny Video

I know I put like three videos of Mac hatin on the PC but here is one more video I think you should look at! Pretty funny and true!

MAC vs. PC

Mostly everybody I know owns an Ipod or Iphone, but I don't know of anyone who owns a MAC computer. Well that has all changed. A really good friend of mine decided to purchase a MAC computer. So I went to his house to check it out and I immediately feel in love at first sight. Almost like Wall-E did with EVA! The computer looks good, it runs smoothly, it didn't have any pop ups, it didn't ask you to update a thousand things, and it didn't have a thousand icons on the desktop with trial memberships when he first started the computer. The computer is great. After I checked the computer out I did some research to find out as to why nobody likes the computer? There were two reasons as to why nobody  wanted the MAC. The two big reasons were that it was two expensive and there isn't a lot of software that you can use with MAC (mainly games). Who cares you get what you pay for and who really plays video games on a computer anyway. 

Now I'm not dogging the PC because I own two myself thanks to my mother, but a MAC computer seems like a pretty good option. Think about it, if you love the Ipod how could you not love their computers as well. If I could I would change all the computers in my house from PC to MAC. 

Best Christmas Gift

The Best Christmas Gift EVER!

Today I called my mom with intentions just to talk about her working so much and so late but somehow the conversation switched sides and we ended up talking about some shoes that I was unable to get. If you are unaware of the shoes they are Jordan's and it consisted of two pairs of shoes that may never come out again. Anyways my mom ended up asking me if I would like her to wait in line for me to get the shoes. I thought that was awesome of her to offer. Granted I am her son but that is besides the point she just got off of work at 2 in the morning woke up at 5 and went to wait in line for me until 7 just to get something for me. What a great mom I have. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that she has to be at work at 10 am. Thanks mom for doing me a such a great favor.

When I got off the phone it got me to thinking about christmas and how the best seems to come out of everyone. To bad it takes this one holiday to bring the best out of everyone. 

 

It also got me to thinking about all of the great gifts that "SANTA" got me! One gift that I love so much that I still use it to this day. I got this gift back in 2001 and I would have to label this as the best Christmas gift I have ever gotten. It came with the shoes you see above and it also came with a sweatshirt that is still in great condition. Thanks Mom and Dad for such a great gift, I mean thanks SANTA!

PEOPLE IN THE STATES!

On my blog I usually only talk about movies, shoes, and the family. Today is a different story because I am going to complain about Germany. Besides the fact that I hate Germany's weather I also hate the parking in Germany. It is awful! Yesterday I went shopping for Christmas and spent more time trying to find a parking spot than I actually did shopping, it was horrible. Lets just say I never want to hear people in the States complain about their being no parking until you have tried to park in Germany during Christmas time. The reason being in the states you can go to the mall and have a huge parking lot for you to park your car, but here in Germany we have parking Garages but they only have enough room to fit about 20 cars but the Germans can make 30 cars fit in the Garage. They park just about any where they want, they don't care how close they are to another car. It is ridiculous. I really do wish I had brought my camera to show you exactly what I am talking about.

One of the may reasons why I am ready to go! Don't get me wrong this was a great experience, and I have been able to travel to many great places. But it is about that time for me to go back to America!

This Christmas

This Christmas there are tons of movies coming out that I would love to see but as you know I wont be spending my Christmas at the movie Theater. Instead I will be at homing wishing that I could see some of the great movies that are coming to theater. For those of you who are going to be in the states "MOVIE HOPPING" let me know about these flicks that are coming out and tell me if they are good or not:

Well we already know about Benjamin Button. There is also a movie called Valkerie and The Spirit. All three of these movies are a MUST watch. I will drop a trailer for both of them and tell me what you think!

Valkerie: This movie looks really good and was made in Germany! Cool huh!



The Spirit: This movie also looks really good and if is from the same writer who wrote Sin City & 300! This trailer isn't that good but if you go on IMDB you can find a better trailer.





One other thing before I go! There is a movie coming out on MAY 1 that I believe will be a must watch as well, seeing how it will be my birthday an all! Its called X-Men Origins: Wolverine! This movie is going to be so DOPE! Check it out!

Big Decision

So yesterday I made a very big decision that I would like to fill everybody in on! I re-enlisted in the military for another 5 years. So I am the governments property until 2014, man that seems like a long time, but I'm sure it will fly by. Right now I don't know if I will retire in the military, even though it doesn't seem like such a bad idea seeing how I could retire at the age of 39. Anyways, I felt that right now seeing the way the economy is and I haven't finished my degree I felt the best decision for me and my family was to re-enlist. Just though I would let everyone know the dealio!


I still dont know what my next duty station will be but it will be somewhere stateside and I should be leaving in March, but once I know I will let everyone know! Holla!

Kanye West concert!!

So last night I went to the Kanye West concert and man was it AMAZING! The concert was supposed to start at 7:00 and didnt end up starting until 9:00 but man was it worth the wait. I wasnt able to take any pictures which kind of bums me out because it was just so incredible. The only thing I have to remember this concert is the louzy T-shirt that I bought and it probably wont even last that long and my memory which also wont last very long either. What I do remember is that he was on stage by himself the whole time singing song after song and only taking a couple of breaks here and there. Kanye really killed it on stage. What was also great about the concert was the fact that he came out one last time and performed Love Lockdown which was awesome. Well I need to stop talking about this concert because now I am starting to feel like some sort of groupie. Just thought I would let everyone know my experience from last night. If you are able to go to Kanyes next concert I definietly think you should try to make it!

People should really check out Kanye's new album because with this album he really tried to reach all types of people with this album instead of the normal Hip Hop fans. It really sucks that all of these songs are getting released because I would much rather like to hear the album all at once that one song at a time. Quantum Of Solace

So I saw this movie and I though it was pretty good. Its no Dark Knigh, but I have to remind myself that I shouldn't compare movies to the dark knight because that movie is just on another level.

It was a good movie. The action was there; he still is the most hardcore James Bond. Me and my friends couldn't help but notice that in this movie he does everything. From flying a plane, driving a boat at high speeds, and even at one point it seemed like he was a fire fighter too. I guess they train special agents in all types of environments. Good movie, but the only thing is that they leave you with more questions. I am definitely gonna have to watch this movie again to see if I missed anything important, but the next time it will be in BLU RAY!! (I don't know if I mentioned this or not but people should definitely invest in the BLU RAY!!! Its the future!)

Blu Ray is the Scheiße!!!

I don't know if any of you have Blu Ray but this holiday season everybody should get one. The quality of the picture and the sound is just amazing. Its the only way you should watch a movie besides at a movie theater but even then watching it at home is a lot better because you dont have to deal with the kids playing in the movie theater. Anyways blu ray is a must buy. Its like I cant believe that I have been watching Dvd for as long as I have. If you dont believe me go to best buy a check it out for yourself.  Plus The Dark Knight comes out Dec. 9 do you really want to watch that movie at home in DVD I know I don't. So get your money together and buy the BLU RAY!!!

Ashamed to be a Houstonian!!!!!

So yesterday I went on another transport but this time it wasn't to the states but it was to a German hospital because one of the babies had an eye appointment. When we transport the kids we take an ambulance from the German economy. So I went on the transport and there were two German EMT's that went with us. When the baby was getting her eyes checked by the doctor the EMT's and I had to step out of the room. While we were waiting outside I started to talk to these guys about Germany and cool places I can go and hang out. One of the EMT's asked me where I lived in the states so I told them where I was from but I really didn't think they would know where Houston, Texas is located but oh they knew. They said "isn't Houston the number one fattest city?" At that point I was shocked. Like I am all the way in Germany and the Germans here know of Houston, Texas as the fattest city and not about the other cool things that are there, I really cant think of anything my self  but I know there is something cool about Houston. I did try to defend Houston by saying that we aren't the fattest city anymore that we are the third fattest but that really isn't any better either. I guess I would be proud of Houston having that honor of the fattest city if I was fat myself but I'm not. The whole reason I wanted to post this blog is to let y'all now that people all the way in Germany know that Houston is the fattest city in  American. 

First Transport!

Today I am going on my first medical transport mission. For those of you who do not know what I am talking about I will explain. Since we are in germany there are some patients we just arent able to take care of due to the lack of resources, lack of doctors, or whatever the case maybe. So we hop on a plane and transport the patient to a hospital that is able to take care of the patient. Tomorrow a nurse and I are going to transport a patient to a hospital in Maryland. Hopefully everything goes as planned and I am able to learn a lot from this experience.

Jaythan!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Jaythan is doing great in school on the education side of school but as far as behavior he needs some work. His only problem is having a problem with hitting other students. He is learning to read and write everyday. Hopefully when we come home in march he will be able to read the family a story.

Concert!!!

Last night Angelica and I went to our first concert together and I must say it was a really good experience. I don't know if any of y'all know who Jason Mraz is, but he is a great musical artist that should have more fame than what he has. He was great in concert. He was real personal with the audience and he is a really cool guy. I'm sure your thinking how do I know he is a cool guy because after the concert Angelica and I happened to run into him outside the concert. He was real cool and laid back and Angelica well, she was star struck. She said a couple of things here and there but overall she was glad just to have shaken his hand. If you haven't heard his latest cd you should really check it out. Especially you Shavaun I know you would like it. Overall it was a great night. We saw a great performance and got to meet the artist himself. Below are a couple of songs that I picked out that you should check out for your listening pleasure.

Transporter 3!!

I don't know if y'all have scene Transporter 1 & 2 but I think they are pretty good movies. If you haven't I think y'all should go to blockbuster and go check them out because Jason Statham did a really good job in those movies. There are some really good fight scenes in both the movies. Jel watched these movies a while back and she liked both of them. She is now a Jason Statham fan. And if Jel likes a action movie then it must be good because she doesn't really watch any action movies. I must say first that it is not DARK KNIGHT (we all know how good that movie is) but it is pretty good. Now dad give it a chance before you try to knock it down OKAY!

JINX!

So I wish I could go back in time and not make that home video that I made a while back talking about how the patriots were the best because I really think that I Jinxed Mr. Brady. I mean I was wearing his jersey and everything. Oh well there is always next year. But I dont know if yall remember how Brady became Brady back in 2001. Maybe Matt Cassel can pull a Brady. I dont know but I sure hope so.

I also want to apologize to all the cowboys fans out there, mainly Uncle Darryl, Dad, and Lil Darryl. I mean I saw the cowboys this past weekend and MAN do they look good. I knew that they would be good but not that good. They look like the Patriots did last year. I really thought that this year it would have been the Pats vs. the boys in the SB, but until you know brady being hurt an all. Oh well the boys should enjoy it since Brady is out. If anything, this year is the COWBOYS year. Unless Romo gets hurt. Hope I didnt Jinx him.

Jaythan is crazy!!

So I came home today and Jaythan and Angelica had some information for me. Jaythan told his mom not to tell me this but Angelica asked him if it was okay and he said yes. Basically what I'm trying to get at is the fact that he told his mom "that he wants a girlfriend." I know, I was in shock myself. Not only did he say he wants a girlfriend he also said that there was three girls that he liked. I dont know what has gotten into him. I think its these fast girls with these fast mamma's. Whatever, just thought I would let yall know what is going on with Jaythan.

Kanye West!!!!

Alright Kanye West fans. I just found out some good information. Kanye West is supposed to drop an album in december. I dont know about yall but this is exciting news. New album means new concert and hopefully when he goes on tour I will be in the states and will be able to make it to his concert this time. He also performed a song from his new ablbum at the MTV VMA's. I dont think the song is that good but I really can't hear the lyrics. So check out the video and tell me what you think.

Wii Fit records!!!!

Hey Uncle Darryl I'm calling you out! I was playing the Wii Fit today and I decided to go after the Ski Jump record and I got 363. I'm not sure what your record is but I feel confident that its not this high. So Im calling you out to see if you can beat my record.

I also tried the other ski game and I have a time of 27.10. So I'm also so calling you out on this record as well. I have posted pictures on the blog to prove that I did accomplish these records so everybody wont think that I'm lying.

Drop a quick note!!

Just want to let everyone know a couple of things. I know I haven't put anything on my blog in a while but I have been pretty busy. This week the military has me doing some crazy work stuff that isn't even part of my job. The whole week I am in the mail room sorting out boxes and first class mail. It stinks I know. I guess I am DOING my part to help the mission. Whatever, doing jobs like this every month makes me realize everyday why I don't want to be in the military.

On another note; as some of y'all already know, it was Angelica's birthday today! We went to a restaurant that serves Schnitzels the size of your head and they have beers the size of 2-2 liter cokes. We sang her happy birthday and feed her big butt some ice cream cake. LOL I want to thank some of y'all for telling her happy birthday she really appreciated coming home and checking her email to find that her family across the ocean hasn't forgot that it was her birthday. So thanks for doing that. (you know who you are)

Also one other exciting note that I must inform everyone of is that Jaythan started Kindergarten today! He loved it. His conduct was good. He came home with a green light which I don't think will stay that way throughout the school year. If he is anything like me I have a feeling it will probably be a long school year. Other than that he really just got introduced to the other kids and used to the whole school system. I will definitely keep y'all posted throughout the year on how he is progressing in school. THEY DID IT!!!!

Its been 8 years but the Mens USA basketball team finally got GOLD. GO USA!!!!!!

I dont know if anybody saw the game but China loves USA basketball because during the game people from china were raising USA flags and chanting USA. It was incredible.

GOOD NEWS!!!

Just thought that I would let everyone know Jaythan graduated from daycare and he will be attending Kindergarten on the 2 of September which is also Angelica's birthday. Also Angelica just got her Associates in Applied Science and is working on her Bachelors. So today was filled with good news and just thought I would share with everyone.

Great Job JEL and JAYTHAN, I love y'all very much and keep up the good work!!!!

HOW COME..........................

The other day I turned on the TV to watch the OLYMPICS and I happened to catch the 100m final just in time . So I'm sitting on the couch watching this event and the one thing that I noticed was how there were so many black people running in this event. My question is how come there are so many black people running in the fast events. I mean are there any fast white people in the WORLD? Do they do anything differently than other races in order to become as fast as they are? I mean is it the cornbread, the KOOL-Aid, or even the watermelon that makes them so fast. Whatever it is, someone should really find out so they aren't the only ones enjoying the spotlight in the 100m final. One day I hope to see a white man, Hispanic man or even an oriental man win this event.

Don't get me wrong I love my black people seeing how I'm mixed with white and black. I think my frustration is coming from my white side because I was unable to get the speed that my dad and my uncle had (from the black side of my family). I guess we will all have to deal with the fact that only BLACK people can run really fast.

And another thing, I don't know if y'all saw the 100m final but everyone should check it out because Usain Bolt is amazingly fast. I saw Maurice Greene run this event 4 years ago who had the world record until Usain Bolt beat it earlier this week. But Maurice Greene was running at full speed the whole 100m. Usain Bolt ran at full speed for 80m and about the last 20 meters he started slowing down and show boating and they crazy thing about this is that he still beat the world record. This guy is crazy fast so if anybody has a chance to check this race out go on youtube I'm sure you will find it. He also got gold in the 200m and broke a World Record so check that one out as well.

Today was a good day.........

For the first time as a NICU Medical Technician I was able to draw blood from a baby. I know a lot of yall may not understand what I mean but just know that it is really hard.

About a month ago I was given a TV series called Rescue Me. At first I didn't think the show would be good but I watched the first episode and I was immediately intrigued. This TV series has drama and comedy mixed in one. I mean you cant beat that. I highly recommend this show to everyone. Its better than Greys Anatomy but just as good as NIP/TUCK. So check it out. Put it on your Christmas list or your amazon.com wish list, whatever you do just make sure you give this show a watch. Its also not a long TV series like most shows that have like 20 somethin' episodes, this series only has 13 episodes in each season. Your gonna wish there were more episodes.

Track & Field

Track and Field started yesterday and out of all the summer olympics my favorite events to watch is the 100m, 200m, 4x100m, & 4x200m. Basically I like watching all the fast races. It might be because I wish I had some speed. Anyways if yall didnt know who Tyson Gay is well he is supposed to win gold in the 100m so make sure yall watch him this afternoon or in the morning. What ever time it may be, make sure you watch Tyson Gay try to get gold and break a world record in the progress. GO USA!!!!!

Less than 12 hours before the 6 RINGS release! Cant wait! Mom & Dad you know you want them!!!

Same Story different day!

Once again Michael Phelps gets another gold medal and breaks another world record. I cant even get excited anymore because I know what to expect from him. Just thought I would let everyone know he has 6 GOLD now 12 GOLD all time and he STILL HAS 2 RACES LEFT. Its insane I know.

Michael Phelps is the greatest olympian EVER! He has won 11 Gold medals and that is the most by any other Olympian ever. The most was tied between several other olympians with 9 gold medals and that record was smashed today by Michael Phelps. Oh and did I mention he has three more events left. He is also expected to win Gold in those events as well. Michael Phelps is rediculous some are calling him AQUAMAN! The thing that makes him so remarkable is that he is not only winning he is beating World Records in the process.

MENS 4X100 RELAY AMAZING!!!!!!

Heres the amazing video that I saw today! If you listen to the beginning you can hear the announcer saying that the americans would need to swim a perfect match to beat the French and that he just cant see the americans beat the French. You have to see this video. Just listen to the announcers!

We SHUT the French UP!!

Just about 30 minutes ago the Americans 4x100 swim relay team won GOLD but not only did they receive gold they smashed the world record and Shut FRANCE UP in the process. I don't know if anybody saw this race but man it was amazing. The announcer didn't even think we could have won the GOLD! But man they pulled an amazing feat. The French team told the press on Sunday that they were going to "smash the US". It looked like they were going too until the last 10 seconds of the race when the last swimmer (Jason Lezak) came from behind and smashed the world record. You really have to have seen it to believe it. I mean it seemed like everyone was saying that the French were going to win this event. Even the American announcer was like "I don't see the US team winning this". I like honesty, but damn could he have at least left some possibility in Americans minds. The race was amazing, I was at the edge of my seat the whole time just because I would like Phelps to do the impossible (get 8 gold medals).

Another Reason Why......

So today I got a call at 930 in the morning and was told by my Supervisor that our commander would like to talk to everyone in the wing who is 26 and under. Since I am in the military I cant ask questions or complain I just have to say yes ma'am and show up. Once I hung up the phone I automatically knew that it was an alcohol related incident. So I got dressed in my BDU(Battle Dress Uniform) and drove to the meeting location. Remind you I am taking time out of my day that I am supposed to have to myself to show up to some location because some commander is mad because some dumb Airman decided to mess up. So I arrive and there are about 100 airmen sitting in this one room. Let me skip all the BS and get straight to the point. I basically got a long talking to because some airman got so drunk and passed out by some pond on base. Some people had to resuscitate her and she almost died. So and hour and a half of my day wasted because of someone else's mistake. This my friend is ANOTHER REASON WHY I need to get out of the military so I wont have to waste my time for stupid meetings like this because of someone else's mistakes. Hopefully this situation will open her eyes and realize the dangers of drinking!! Thanks for reading!

And The winner is.......

As everyone may know by now Joshua won SYTYCD. Like I said I wanted Twitch to win but I am also glad that Joshua won. He not only deserved it but it is great to see a HIP-HOP dancer win. Ever since I started watching this show a year ago I really never thought that America would allow a HIP-HOP dancer to win. But last night America proved me wrong by not only voting Joshua to win it all. Oh yeah and did I mention the fact that Joshua is from Texas. Way to represent. CONGRATS JOSHUA!!!!!!

So I finally saw last nights episode and let me first start off by saying I really like Twitch and Joshua but I like Twitch the most because his SOLO's are rediculous. But seeing Joshua perform that Wade Robson routine really made me wish I voted for Joshua last night but either way both Joshua and Twitch are great and I would love to see either one of them win. I just hope that America doesnt pull another stunt like they did last year and have Courtney win it all like Sabre did last year. I mean we all know Danny should have won.

Another problem I had was the fact that they shouldnt have had them dance so much. I mean like watching them dance but they can only be pushed so much. I mean it came down to a Mia Michaels routine and I couldn't help but notice how tired they were the whole time. They should have limited the number of dances. Oh well what can you do.

Wade really needs to come back next year. I mean damn that performance with Katee and Joshua was off the hook. It could also be that they are great together but that dance was good. Wade really needs to come back. Wade if you are reading this, and I know you probably are, you gotta come back next year.

What were they thinking?

So everybody knows the 6 Rings are coming out. Im excited about this release date but I just found out they plan on releasing another style. I like the 6 Rings that come out in 8 days but these shoes are horrible. I have no idea what they were thinking!
